First Weekend is the Second Annual No Bull BBQ Cook off, although still in its infancy, it has become one of the largest BBQ events in California. With over 60 BBQ teams from around the Country competing for Best in Show and Peoples Choice Award, a full line up of music, arts and crafts vendors there will be something for everyone. This Year we have added the Friday Night, Kick Off to the Cook-Off with live music, to allow people to check out the teams and how they set up their sites. Held at the Community Center, 17000 Monterey Road Friday 6:00 9:00 Saturday 10:00 6:00. Memorial Day weekend - Mushroom Mardi Gras held Saturday & Sunday 10:00 6:00 at the Community Center. This fun filled event has grown to be one of the areas favorite beginnings to the summer season.
June
Begins the Friday Night Music Series. In its 19th year this event showcases amazing bands playing under the stars at the open air stage at the Community Center. Bring your Pick Nic baskets or pre order from one of our many downtown restaurants and enjoy a variety of musical performances each Friday June till August. We also have the Thursday Night Series held on the Third Street Promenade in Downtown Morgan Hill. Once a month on Saturday you can attend a Music night or Movies under the stars at the Community Center, throughout the summer.
July
July 4th Morgan Hill is the host to not only the official parade but the longest consecutively held parade in Santa Clara County, fun for all the family throughout the day with a wonderful fireworks display at Community Park to end the celebration.
September
The 22nd. Taste of Morgan Hill showcases our picturesque downtown, when Monterey Road becomes a community celebration, with stages filled with music and local exhibits, fine arts and crafts, our Quilt Exhibit is one of the finest in the area. Our kids zone is filled with rides, and one of the top ten classic cars shows in California. Saturday Night come for the amazing concert under the stars.
October
Classic British Car Show, and Safe Trick or Treat in Downtown, along with the 2nd annual FRY’S.Com PGA Golf tournament. October also see’s the 2nd Santa Clara Wine Assoc. Passport Weekend, tickets available at the Chamber, must be 21 to participate.
November
Participate in the Downtown Wine Stroll. Visit local wineries inside the stores and restaurants of Downtown $25.00 fee, must be 21 to participate.
December
Holiday Parade Year round activities The Aquatic Center, Lake Anderson and Henry Coe State Park give the opportunity to view the surrounding countryside. Award winning Wineries are open each weekend for tasting and viewing their spectacular gift shops. Saturday visit the Farmers Market or stroll down the quant downtown and enjoy the patio dining at one of our fine restaurants.
